Wow! What a weather-filled March it has been. It is difficult to believe that just about a week ago there was still snow on the ground in some places and now it is getting up into the 70's! I hope that you all had a great Spring Break and are excited about coming back to school tomorrow. I usually have a Happy Pi Day (March 14) or "Beware the ides of March (March 15) post, but I definitely can't let a St. Patrick's Day (March 17) pass without posting something (since I am 1/4 Irish!)! Here are a couple of fun "story starters" and I will add some other activities tomorrow.
Use these suggestions to write a short story:
1. What would you do with a pot of gold?
2. Write a story about the day everything that you touched turned green!
3. What would you do if you were a leprechaun? Where would you hide your gold?
4. "As I was looking for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, I was surprised to find..."
5. How would you go about finding the end of a rainbow?
6. Write about something that makes you feel lucky.
